内容简介:
Two-dimensional (2D) nanomaterials hold great promise for advanced electronic and optical applications. The reliability of these materials is critical to fulfilling their potential. Since it is extremely challenging to transfer and test the atomically thin layer of 2D materials. I have used a novelin-situ quantitative tensile testing platform that enables the uniform in-plane loading of a freestanding membrane of 2D materials inside a scanning electron microscope (SEM), facilitated by a newly developed “dry transfer” method. The in-situ experiments can reveal the real-time deformation and fracture processes in monolayer 2D materials, including MoSe2, MoS2,h-BN, and rebar graphene.
